Academics

Hollister High School's mission is to educate all students to their fullest potential and ensure they graduate with the greatest range of personal and professional options. Academic Services is dedicated to supporting this mission by providing comprehensive academic and social programs in a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Guided by the pillars of rigor, relevance, and inclusion, we strive to prepare every student for success in college, career, and life. Our commitment to excellence has earned Hollister High School recognition as a U.S. News Best High School for seven consecutive years, reflecting the strength of our academic programs and the dedication of our educators. Beyond the classroom, we are also proud to be named a Green Ribbon School, honoring our efforts in environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Through collaboration, open communication, and a focus on student-centered learning, the Office of Academics and Instructional Programs works to ensure that all students feel supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their goals.
Co-teaching and inclusion
San Benito HSD’s inclusive co-teaching program staffs classrooms with two equally-qualified individuals with diverse expertise in delivering instruction. One co-teacher is a subject matter expert, while one has expertise supporting specific student needs, such as English language learners and students with disabilities. The program has improved the pass rates, graduation rates and achievement levels of all students who participate in co-taught classrooms.
