Hollister High School's Early College Academy is a four-year high school program of study designed for highly motivated students committed to academic achievement. This "school within a school" offers students personalized support from teachers and smaller class sizes. Early College students are grouped in a cohort, moving together throughout the school day in three blocks of classes. Dual enrollment opportunities through Gavilan College allow students opportunities to earn college credits.
From Day 1 in Early College Academy, students are prepared for higher education. The Academy supports students at every level of academics, post-secondary goals and both socially and emotionally. In addition to the four-year course of study, Early College students complete the AVID program, or a CTE Pathway of their choice. AP credit and college credit are awarded to students who complete the appropriate requirements. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA throughout their program of study.

The Academy of Health Science Pathway offers students a comprehensive avenue into high-demand, high-wage healthcare careers. This program aims to not only enhance students' college and career readiness, but also address the escalating demand for skilled healthcare professionals.
Backed by the collaboration of teachers of core academic subjects at Hollister High, along with industry partners including Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital and Gavilan College, the Academy of Health Science is designed to provide students with an exceptional education that integrates both academic and practical learning experiences.
The four-year course of study includes sectors such as Pre-Med, Emergency Medicine, Public Health, Mental Health, and Sports Medicine. All applicants must be motivated to work hard in rigorous and challenging classes, participate in project-based learning, maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average, and have a positive attitude toward learning and school.
Dual enrollment college credit programs offer students a head start on their higher education journey, while work-based learning opportunities ranging from industry and college tours to internships provide invaluable exposure to the real-world applications of healthcare practices. Industry-recognized certifications, including first aid, CPR, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials further elevate students' qualifications and employability.
